Serena came downstairs the other day wearing a bathing suit and a huge smile and said, “Mama, I am going to help you bake cookies now!”
And bake cookies we did. She’s crafty, that one. In every sense of the word.
[I've been sitting on this post for a week waiting to get a good photo of our cookies, since we actually bake cookies rather a lot. But I keep forgetting to photograph them before I eat them. oops!]
Also today, Serena made a list for me of all the things she will do when she is a teenager. Here it is:
- be able to swim underwater in a pool
- be better at hopping
- be better at doing tricks
- be able to read chapter books by herself
- not burn herself in the kitchen
- be tall enough to turn on the living room lights by herself
- also the kitchen lights
- also her bedroom lights
- be better at listening to Mommy
I don’t know about that last one, but I bet she’ll easily achieve all the others.
