Yesterday was Friends Day here in Argentina. This is a national holiday devoted to celebrating friendship. Everyone makes an effort to spend time with their friends, and they exchange small gifts like lollipops. It’s supposed to be a day to tell your friends you love them, even if you’re normally too shy to do so.
I want very much to bring this holiday home with me to the States, where friendship is often scoffed at. My close friendships are the bedrock of my life. I owe my home, my work, my family and just about every other joy in my life in a very direct way to the love I’ve shared with friends.
You guys rock my socks. I love you. I’m pretty much never too shy to say so, but I love the excuse.
Happy Friends’ Day!

Happy Friend's Day to you dearest Muse! What a great day to celebrate. You should bring it home with you and convince everyone we should celebrate with you.
Also, did you hear the news that Argentina just legalized same sex marriage?
