A beautiful post, thanks for sharing. We just celebrated our 15th anniversary, and the last year was a hard one, full of financial difficulties, health problems, interfering family members, and the stress of parenting a challenging/challenged child. Some days, I ask myself how and why I got myself into this, and some days, I know for sure and I'm grateful I did. I'll try to focus more on the light coming in. I loved this…thank you so much for sharing your husband's toast. It put into words my marriage (probably all marriages in which the people are willing to look at themselves)…I sent it to my husband, who is working overseas this year. Congratulations to your in-laws…50 years is quite an accomplishment.

A memorable day…even more because so many of our loved ones came over to share the ocasion from abroad. I shall always treasure every moment we spent with each one of you during your visit…Rio's increadibly strong hugs, Serena's singing improvisations, Ian's smiling eyes enjoying his Argentine cousins and already so used to our over expressive love!!! Each time you visit makes saying good bye harder and harder. We love you and distance has never faded my feelings! To me…YOU ARE MARRIED!!! A toast for marriage! CHEERS!!!!
