Upcoming kids activities

Here are some neat activities for homeschoolers (or kids in general) that my kids and I will be at this month:

  • Spanish Singalong at the Somerville Public Library, Monday mornings at 10:30, at the Central Branch. This is an ongoing series through April, starting tomorrow.
  • The ICA’s monthly Play Date, a free event for families on the last Saturday each month that invites kids to make art as well as view it. This month also has Spring Break family activities, from April 21-24, with themed projects based on the Shepard Fairey exhibit. We will definitely be checking that out.
  • Also on April 25, the Gore Place Sheepshearing Festival. I have never been to this, but my mom usually takes the kids, and I think I may join them this year. It is reputed to be a blast.

Thanks for posting these! The ICA thing seems awesome for me but not for A. yet, but I'll keep it in mind for the future. I think the border collie demos at Gore Place could be especially fun for her to watch.
