Rio has gotten very interested in the immanent arrival of the baby, and asks me to tell her stories every day about what will happen when the baby comes.
Yesterday, she added a twist of her own.
“When the baby comes out between your legs, I will hold its head,” she said, demonstrating how she would hold her hands to support the baby’s head and neck.
“You mean, after the baby is born?”
“No, when it’s coming out of your body. I will help Daddy. We’ll help the baby get out of your body. You can help too. You can push.”
“I see.”
